At the beginning of the year, I shared my 2021 reading goals. When I post my wrap up at the end of each month, I also want to reflect on the progress I’m making toward reaching my goals.

Read 100 books: 222/100!

Finish 5 series in progress: 5/5 – I finished the Amulet series (at least all the graphic novels that are currently published) and The Illuminae Files

Read 12 graphic novels: 14/12 – Prince of Elves, Escape from Lucien, Firelight, and Supernova

Read 12 books of poetry/verse: 12/12 – Break Your Own Glass Slippers, Shine Your Icy Crown, and Revenge Body

Read 6 nonfiction books: 6/6 – Born a Crime and Chasing Ghosts

Read 3 classics: 6/3 – A Christmas Carol

Reread 10 books/series: 10/10

Host monthly backlist buddy reads: 12/12 – The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

I’m excited to report that I met all of my reading goals for 2021! It was a close one, though, and I was still squeezing in books on December 31. Stay tuned for my 2022 Reading Goals!

How did your month go? What was the best book you read in December?

Hello! I’m Caroline! I am a teacher, a book lover, and a nerd. My passions include reading, writing, bookstagram, barre & yoga, baking, binging TV shows, and Star Wars. I love stories in all formats because they can transport you to a different world while helping you understand the world around you. I have always found books to be a particularly magical source of imagination.
