SYNOPSIS

A woman awoken in air, a soldier forged by fire, a weapon risen from blood.

Vhalla Yarl has made it to the warfront in the North. Forged by blood and fire, she has steeled her heart for the final battle of the Solaris Empire’s conquest. The choices before Vhalla are no longer servitude or freedom, they are servitude or death. The stakes have never been higher as the Emperor maintains his iron grip on her fate, holding everything Vhalla still has left to lose in the balance.

MY THOUGHTS

How can something I love so much hurt me so bad?

Vhalla and Aldrick’s forbidden romance is EVERYTHING to me. I love the development of their relationship, and this book gets more heated than previous installments.

This book has one of the best battle scenes I have ever read in a fantasy book. Once again, Elise Kova does an amazing job developing the cast of characters, especially Baldair. I still hate the Emperor and I am so ready for him to get what’s coming to him.

This book takes you on such an emotional roller coaster. It hurts, but it leaves you wanting more.
