2020 READING GOAL PROGRESS
At the beginning of the year, I shared my 2020 reading goals. When I post my wrap up at the end of each month, I also want to reflect on the progress I’m making toward reaching my goals.
Read 100 books: 203/100! I can’t believe I doubled my reading goal for the year!
Read diverse authors and genres: While I read a ton of fantasy and paranormal books in December, I also mixed it up with holiday romances, horror, and history. I read a couple books by BIPOC authors, but not as many as I have in previous months.
Buy fewer books: I bought a couple ebooks on sale, but I got several new books this month as Christmas gifts.
Finish more series: I finished the Broken Earth trilogy, the Wicked trilogy, the Renegades trilogy, the Ember quartet, the ACOTAR series, and the Bloodlines series. Woo!
Reread more: ACOWAR and ACOFAS
Read at least two classics: 2/2 (goal met in October)
Read one graphic novel each month: The Comic Book History of Comics
I am so proud of myself for sticking to my reading goals. While there were some ups and downs with a few of my goals, the only goal I consistently didn’t stick to was my goal to buy fewer books. I am excited to share my 2021 reading goals soon. Some of these goals will carry over into the new year, but I have some new goals I would like to reach as well. Even though 2020 was full of challenges, it was my most successful reading year EVER. I can’t wait to see what I will read and accomplish in the new year!
How did your month go? What was the best book you read in December?
