SYNOPSIS
Trouble is haunting Cassidy Blake . . . even more than usual.
She (plus her ghost best friend, Jacob, of course) are in Paris, where Cass’s parents are filming their TV show about the world’s most haunted cities. Sure, it’s fun eating croissants and seeing the Eiffel Tower, but there’s true ghostly danger lurking beneath Paris, in the creepy underground Catacombs.
When Cass accidentally awakens a frighteningly strong spirit, she must rely on her still-growing skills as a ghosthunter — and turn to friends both old and new to help her unravel a mystery. But time is running out, and the spirit is only growing stronger.
And if Cass fails, the force she’s unleashed could haunt the city forever.
MY THOUGHTS
I liked this one even better than the first! The Paris catacombs were the perfect spooky setting for these characters, and the explanations of French culture and language were not as heavy handed as in book 1.
This book dives deeper into Cassidy and Jacob’s friendship, raising deep questions about the future of their relationship. I thought the poltergeist was a more complex and interesting villain, especially as a foil for Jacob.
The final scene of this book sent shivers down my spine, and I am so ready for book 3 where Cassidy takes on the ghosts of New Orleans!

All of her books look so good, I really need to start reading them 😭

I haven’t read many of her books but I’ve loved all the ones I’ve read so far!
