In August I read a total of 13 books, including 5 physical books, 1 ebook, 5 audiobooks, and 2 education books I started MONTHS ago and finally finished since school started again! August had a really rough beginning for me with a lot of sadness and uncertainty that put me into a reading slump, but in the past couple weeks I have started to improve my mental health and get back into my reading habit.

2020 READING GOAL PROGRESS
At the beginning of the year, I shared my 2020 reading goals. When I post my wrap up at the end of each month, I also want to reflect on the progress I’m making toward reaching my goals.
Read 100 books: 111/100! I met my increased goal for the year!
Read diverse authors and genres: Mexican Gothic, The Vanishing Half, A Torch Against the Night, This Is My America
Buy fewer books: I’ve pretty much given up on this goal. I needed some retail therapy to get ready for spooky season!
Finish more series: I finished my Twilight reread and made progress on the ember series
Reread more: Breaking Dawn
Read at least two classics: 1/2 (none this month…but I’m planning to read one in September/October!)
Read one graphic novel each month: Lumberjanes
I’m excited that I finally passed 100 books for the year after increasing my goal from 75! I am choosing not to increase my goal again, and instead just enjoy reading as much as I can for the rest of the year without worrying about numbers.
How did your month go? What was the best book you read in August?
